Going back to last weekend, March 9th, I had a great little lunch & shopping date with Jessica, April, and Cassie. Friday evening Mike and I headed over to his friend Ray's apartment for some Mexican food and drinks before going to our new favorite dive bar: Maple's Sports Bar (it is connected to a gas station & liquor store, what more could you want?). The most memorable part of the evening had to be the dancing...you'll see. Here are some pics.

Not sure what we are doing...
Mike had a little spill issue:

And time for a little video. Notice about halfway through when the blonde starts getting very upset the Shawn and Mike are not staying in "their area." Then she shows them where the line is. Classic.
Saturday (the 10th) Mike and I went out during the day to do a few things. First we saw John Carter because Tim Riggins is in it and I love him. It was just ok. After that we went to a couple places in search of a new lamp for our living room (Jesse James knocked over and broke our old one). We didn't have any luck :( Then we went to pick up a pizza to bring home and just hung out here.
Sunday was the night we grilled our very large rib-eye steak from Fresh Market. It turned out great! Here are some pics of that:
Can you guess which plate was Mike's?
The things on the plates that are not steak or asparagus are actually "crash potatoes" (Another PW recipe). They were yummy, just roasted red potatoes that were crushed with the bottom of a drinking glass and seasoned.
The week went by in a blur with my normal tutoring/nannying jobs. Tutoring is over now, the family is PCSing to Fort Hood.
Now onto this weekend. Some of you may have read a facebook status of mine mentioning that I had too much fun on Friday night...we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and then headed to (surprise surprise) Maple's Sports Bar for some drinks with friends. Mike decided that he would be the driver for once so that I could have a few more drinks. I paid for it the next morning, but managed to get myself together for the St. Patrick's day party at Bryan an Cassie's house.
We had a great time with all of our new friends. I brought a spinach dip which I didn't get a picture of, but actually Mike did most of the work making it! It was a crowd-pleaser that I will definitely make again, because it was very easy with not too many ingredients. We had pretty great weather, a little hot in the afternoon but gorgeous as the evening came.
The cutest puppy, Paisley:

So far we're spending our Sunday with Harry Potter on ABC Family, laundry (me), and homework (Mike). This coming Friday I head home to Chicago for a visit...I'm SO looking forward to seeing everyone!
Love,
Christine
